As you know, picking the right person for a particular job is extremely difficult and getting it wrong is costly in Time, Money, Staff Moral and Company Image. A recent study at Princeton University determined that 4 out of 5 people are wrong for the job for which they have been hired and in the sales field 85% of employees are dismissed within 3 months.
Consulting firm Bliss & Associates Inc. have reported that the cost of replacing an employee can easily reach 150% of the annual salary and the cost will be significantly higher (200% to 250% ) for managerial and sales positions.
According to a survey by employment law firm Peninsula, the number of employees who admit to lying about themselves has risen dramatically over the last decade. It was found that nearly 80% of applicants lied on their resume compared to just over 50% in a similar study in 1995. Only a third felt such lies are dishonest compared to two-thirds 10 years ago.
Frightening isn’t it?
But what can you do to improve matters?
It is well known that many employers recruit people because of their qualifications and experience and fire people because of personality faults.
What is less well known is that psychologists have discovered that the single most important determining factor in job success is not Qualifications or Experience and It is certainly not Age or Gender or Race.
They have found that it is personality above all else that is the best predictor of job success.
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a covert method of obtaining a personality profile of prospective employees? Can you imagine it? A way of producing an in depth character analysis without the candidate being aware that it is happening, so no Lying, Cheating or Faking.
Think about it. A method of producing a report that revealed a candidates.
